Christos “Stos” Tsantilis is a multi-platinum mix and mastering engineer based in Brooklyn, NY. With 35+ years of studio experience, Stos delivers world-class mixing, mastering, Dolby Atmos room tuning, and elite studio design trusted by Sony, Universal, NBC, and top artists worldwide.
His work has contributed to over 20 million records sold and more than 20 RIAA-certified platinum and gold plaques. Rooted in hip-hop and working across genres, Stos has contributed to projects with Patti LaBelle, Mýa, Jerry Gonzalez, Tower of Power, and Cuban Link featuring Pink. His work also includes Marsha Ambrosius’ All or Nothing with producers Just Blaze and Dr. Dre, plus film soundtracks including Black & White, BAIT, Any Given Sunday, and The Hip Hop Project. His technical background spans quality control, audio restoration, studio construction, and acoustic design. At Sony, his quality-control work included projects for Michael Jackson, Yo-Yo Ma, Dave Matthews Band, and Adele. He has also worked in studios including The Hit Factory, Electric Lady Studios, Chung King, and The Cutting Room. Stos designs and tunes recording environments for stereo and Dolby Atmos work, with facility design and consultation for creators including Q-Tip and Blair Wells. An educator and mentor, he has taught at City College and York College and shares his experience through industry seminars.
